Volunteer technical coordinator Eddie Meredith (above left) introduces Steve Keeley to after-hours attendees who got a history lesson from the former pro tour star. Keeley is now active in promoting the Legends Tour and has two writing projects in the works.

At the Friday afternoon focus group sessions, John Bryant and Karen Denu each present their group's pitch for supporting a specific project. The top ideas to trickle-down from the first phase of the exercise were, in order: gaining television exposure, building a portable court with a traveling demonstration team, and emphasizing collegiate participation.

The winning team [left] was made up of of Steve Fredericks, Rob Getts, Brad Lunquist, and Don Miller, who shot 12-under par (59). Tied for second place were the teams of Mark Coppolella, Gary Custer, Dean Gorell, and Tracy Frank [grouped below right] and David George, Connie Martin, Tom O’Donnell, and Rob Yardumian [grouped below left]. 

The second place teams shot 11-under par (60). The prize for first place was $100 gift certificates to Champs; second place teams received $60 gift certificates good for USRA merchandise along with a $50 gift certificate valid at Red Lobster.
