World's Best Junior Racquetball Players Converge on Southern California

World Junior Championships Draws Largest International Turnout Ever for U.S. Racquetball Tournament
Fountain Valley, Calif. -- The world's best racquetball players, ranging from 6 to 19 years old, have converged on southern California for the ProKennex 11th International Racquetball Federation World Junior Championships presented by Penn Racquet Sports, Dec. 17-22, at Los Caballeros Sport Village in Fountain Valley, Calif.

Participants from around the world will compete for 30 separate titles in singles, doubles and mixed doubles in age groups ranging from six-and-under to 18-and-under. Players to earn their country team titles in men's, women's and overall team categories.

This year marks the largest international turnout ever for any such event -- junior or senior -- with almost half the 300 participants traveling from abroad. Mexico brought its largest team ever, with 60 players traveling north of the border to compete. Both Canada and Ireland also fielded large teams for the event. Other participating countries include Puerto Rico, Argentina, Venezuela and Colombia.
