These estimates are provided for your travel planning purposes only — actual starting dates/times may change (possibly later, but no earlier) according to the final number of players entered in each draw. Due to the anticipated number of entrants, we can NOT accomodate special starting date/time requests.

Residency & Age Requirement • Only U.S. citizens may compete in any division of play which serves as a qualifier for appointment to a U.S. National Team. All other divisions are open to U.S. citizens and residents. For age division competition, players must meet the age requirement as of the first day of competition. •

Eligibility • To be eligible to compete in any USRA sanctioned event, a player may not have earned in excess of $50,000 in cumulative, total prize monies per season [as of August 1, annually], as a direct result of competing in any professional tournament(s) so deemed by the USRA Board of Directors. 

Skill Division Certification • A, B, C, and D division entrants must meet the stipulations noted in the required skill verification form . NOTE: Players in Age+Skill must meet the same criteria for corresponding skill levels in “Age+A/B” & “Age+C/D” divisions. Tournament directors will use the verification form to determine eligibility for skill competition, and reserve the right to re-classify – or disqualify – players when/if they are improperly placed.

Drug Testing • USOC Drug Testing will be used, and a positive result for an IOC banned substance will be cause for disqualification from this event, and for loss of eligibility for a minimum of six (6) months by the USRA. Only OPEN players will be tested. Testing is mandatory; non-compliance will result in the same penalty as a positive drug test. Lodging: The Baymont Inn & Suites, 763-561-8400, $59.00/night. The Sleep Inn, 888-646-8988. $67.00/night. Best Western, 800-526-1234, $74.00/night. Super 8 Motel, 763-566-9810, $69.00/night. To secure these rates, you must mention National Doubles when making reservations.

Lodging UPDATE [09/05/02]: The Baymont Inn & Suites has filled its block of rooms reserved for the event, but may be able to accomodate you at regular rates. Ask for the event discount, just the same! Local organizers will attempt to arrange shuttle service from all hotels to the club, at regular intervals, but you'll need to check with your own hotel to be sure. Mike Locker has passed along the following inside information -- 1) you'll need a car if you're staying at the Best Western or Sleep Inn, and 2) the following hotels are all located in Brooklyn Center, within blocks of each other, and are approximately three (3) miles from the host club:
