important changes

In 2001, significant changes have been made to the format of this event -- most notably that it is no longer an international competition. Entry to this event is now restricted to athletes who attend United States colleges and universities.

Other changes include:
-- Added regional competition. Players may enter either the open team title division or a regional skill division (not both).
-- Regional skill competition will not count toward point totals used to determine Division I and Division II championship team titles.
-- Individuals entering the open title divisions must fill roster spots from the top down (#1 first, #2, etc.)
-- Individuals entering regional skill divisions may enter A, B or C/D brackets, as long as they submit proper verification of that skill level.
-- Teams may enter a full roster of players in both the open team and skill divisions, but only the open team competition will be counted toward team title point earnings.
